Yes, we provide a free 7-day trial so you can explore the innovative features of ByteNAP Cloud PaaS. During the trial, please note the following limitations:
- Public IPv4 cannot be assigned.
- Docker usage is restricted.
- .NET support is unavailable.
- You can create a maximum of 2 environments.
- Each node is limited to a maximum of 12 cloudlets or 1.5GB RAM.
- A maximum of 2 nodes per layer is allowed.
This trial is designed to give you a taste of our platform while keeping resource usage in check.
ByteNAP Cloud organizes your application containers into environments, which are collections of containers (servers) all focused on running the same application(s) or website(s). ByteNAP Cloud automatically configures the necessary links between these servers for you. For example, if you have a load balancer, it’s automatically set up to direct traffic to the appropriate web servers within the same environment.
Each server within your ByteNAP Cloud environment is dedicated entirely to you—there’s no sharing with other customers. This ensures you always benefit from maximum performance, flexibility, and security.

ByteNAP Cloud is designed primarily for hosting large single domains within each environment. However, you can also host multiple domains by either creating separate environments for each or by configuring virtual hosts within a single environment. Our friendly support team is here to help you set this up.
If you’re looking to host a large number of small domains within a single environment, we recommend exploring our Cloud VPS range, which is optimized to efficiently support multiple domains on one server.
ByteNAP Cloud leverages secure containers, eliminating the need for you to manage the kernel, patches, or updates. By default, we secure your container ports and offer an intuitive, web-based firewall for added protection. Additionally, you can enhance your account’s security with optional Two-Factor Authentication.
For optimal deliverability and ease of mail-related debugging, we recommend integrating your scripts with a specialized transactional email provider. While we don’t endorse any specific third-party service, many of our customers successfully use platforms like Mailjet, Mailgun, and SendGrid—each offering free tiers for low-volume usage. Your servers can be configured to use these services as an SMTP relay without requiring code changes to your scripts.
If you prefer to send emails directly from your server (though not recommended), sendmail is pre-installed and ready for use on all application server nodes (disabled on trial accounts to prevent abuse). For this setup, you’ll need to add a public IP to your node(s) (not available on trial accounts).
Please note that inbound email functionality (i.e., mailboxes) is beyond the scope of our ByteNAP Cloud PaaS. You can, however, point your MX records to an external email service such as Leapswitch SmarterMail, G-Suite, or Outlook.com.
